Dr. Jackson founded DIR in 1984. He earned his Ph.D. in urban and regional planning from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and has bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology. Dr. Jackson has directed projects for public and private sector clients, with an emphasis on education and workforce development, human services, organizational climate, minority business development, and youth services. Dr. Jackson acts as quality-assurance reviewer on DIR proposals and projects.
Carol A. Pistorino, Vice President

Dr. Pistorino earned her master's degree and Ph.D. in applied developmental psychology from the University of Miami. She has over 15 years of research and evaluation experience and has served as principal investigator,
project director, or senior researcher for program assessments and evaluations, including those involving random assignment. Dr. Pistorino also serves as quality-assurance director and supervisor for many of DIR's assessments of educational initiatives.
Pam V. Wells, Vice President and Director of Survey Operations

Ms. Wells earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Houston. She has over 11 years of experience in survey operations and
project management. Ms. Wells has managed large-scale, multisite
data-collection projects and directed numerous telephone and in-person interviewing efforts with low-income and minority populations. She also has extensive experience and expertise in survey design and implementation,
including mixed-mode methodology.
